Eight Stony Brook University scholars have been elected Fellows of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). They will be honored for their contributions to science and engineering at the Fellows Forum during the AAAS Annual Meeting on February 16, 2013 in Boston, Massachusetts.

Sylvester Manor Educational Farm and the Peconic Land Trust have announced the preservation of an additional 57.1 acres on Shelter Island, increasing the number of acres conserved by Sylvester Manor to more than 105 acres.
