Audience Suitability: The show is suitable for all ages however, Disney recommends The Lion King for ages 6 and up. Children under 3 will not be admitted into the theatre.

The stunning savannah of Africa is brought to life at the Lyceum Theatre every afternoon and evening as The Lion King takes to the stage in London. Follow in the footsteps of King Mufasa's lion cub son, Simba, as he embarks on a journey to discover who he is and where he fits in the great 'Circle of Life'. Simba is next in line to become King of the Pridelands but his evil uncle, Scar (Mufasa's brother) resents the new Prince and believes that he should be ruler instead. Scar plans to thwart the young prince's plans and forms an alliance with the Hyenas to topple Mufasa and takeover as leader – the question is will he succeed?

Once you have been to see The Lion King London, you will understand why the show has won so many awards. Since the opening night, The Lion King has won: 2x Visit London Awards (2006 and 2007) for Best Theatre/Show; an Ivor Novello Music Award (2000) for International Achievement in Musical Theatre; An Evening Standard Award (1999) for Theatrical Event Of The Year and 2x Laurence Olivier Awards (1999) for Best Choreography and Costume Design. The shows director, Julie Taymor and her reimagining of The Lion King made Broadway history by becoming the first woman to win the Tony Award® for 'Best Director of a Musical'.

The Lion King musical has been seen by over 65 million people around the world and the show is currently touring the UK in addition to its performances at the Lyceum Theatre in London.
