Audience Suitability: Matilda the Musical is suitable for anyone aged 6 years and over. All children must be old enough to occupy their own seat. Children under the age of 5 will not be admitted into the theatre.

Watch as Roald Dahl's much loved story, adapted by Dennis Kelly and award-winning musician/comedian Tim Minchin, is brought to life on the stage in this hilarious new musical version. The story follows a little girl called Matilda who is unloved by her parents, Mr and Mrs Wormwood, a couple who are obsessed with ballroom-dancing. Matilda is a rather intelligent child and soon realises that sometimes to make things right, you have to be a little naughty, leading to some hilarious scenes that the whole family will enjoy.
Believing that school will be a much better place to be, Matilda is left unimpressed by the misery and general horribleness of her headmistress Miss Trunchball who in turn takes an instant dislike to Matilda because, according to her, she is a little strange. Matilda soon gets her own back by using her special psychokinetic powers to get rid of Miss Trunchball, allowing Matilda and her school friends to lead a much happier life.
