The Privacy Policy below details how Door2Tour.com will treat your personal data after it has been collected by Door2Tour.com through your use of the Website. Door2Tour.com assures that it will only use your data as specified here and / or in accordance with its Terms of Use, or for its legitimate business reasons.
Collection and use of data
1. Unless otherwise provided in the Privacy Policy or the Terms of Use, Door2Tour.com will not sell, rent or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes without your express consent.
2. Door2Tour.com can obtain personal data from you from a number of different sources:
i. When you search for or purchase Tours with Tour Operators through the Website.
ii. When you make a reservation or book a Tour with a Tour Operator through our customer reservation team by telephone.
iii. When you subscribe to the Door2Tour.com newsletter, participate in the Door2Tour.com holiday feedback, or submit for Door2Tour.com’s attention the ‘Contact Us’ or ‘Trade’ forums.
iv. When you set up a ‘My Account’ page on our Website and enter your details (or those of your party) on to our Website (such as your name and the names of those in your party, your address, email, telephone number and details of Tours booked, saved searches, edit marketing / e-newsletter preferences, etc), for the purposes of administering your booking arrangements through the Website with Tour Operators. If you decide to send details of holidays searched against or booked with a friend through the ‘Send to Friend’ function on the Website, we may capture this information in order to send this information as requested by you. As part of the service that Door2Tour.com provide we will contact any registered users that have searched for and/or viewed tours but have not made a booking to ascertain whether there is anything that we can assist with or any questions that we can answer about these tours.
v. Via unconditional data capture measures such as the use of cookies and studying the pages you read frequently (please see further below under ‘Cookies Policy’).
vi. When you participate in the online chat facility on the Website, in order to keep track of transcripts from chat conversations.
3. In order to complete your booking with a Tour Operator having visited our Website, Door2Tour.com will need to collect information about you to pass on to the Tour Operator in order to provide you with the service you expect and the Tours you wish to book. This information may include, but is not limited to, details such as your name, your address, postcode, email address and telephone number. If you wish to book via the telephone, then in order to complete your booking with the Tour Operator then we will need to take this information from you in order to process the booking and may write this down in order to process this booking. When you make a reservation for someone else through Door2Tour.com, we will request personal information about that individual. You should obtain the consent of other individuals prior to providing us with their personal information.
Usually, when we process your booking through our Website, you are directed to a secure payment gateway (as nominated by the individual Tour Operator with whom you wish to book) where you can enter your credit card / payment details into the payment gateway for payment to be submitted directly to the Tour Operator through the payment gateway. No payments will be taken and no monies will be held by Door2Tour.com in such instances. However, we may need to take credit card information from you so that payment can be made to the Tour Operator for your booking where you wish to book over the telephone and we may write this information down in order to process your booking – if we do, this information is not kept by Door2Tour.com. We will therefore collect and use your credit card details to process the payment of the booking fee that Door2Tour.com charges for processing the booking for you over the telephone, as well as pass on the credit card details to the individual Tour Operator with whom you wish to book in order to process payment for your Tour directly with the Tour Operator, in accordance with its booking terms and conditions. Such details will be kept secure whilst handling. Please note that we do not write down your credit card details as the information is input straight into the secure online payment gateway system for booking with the Tour Operator. When we process any booking fee that we are entitled to charge in accordance with our Terms of Use, then we do not write down your credit card details then either and we input these straight into our secure Barclays payment system for the purposes of processing the booking fee. We do not therefore store your credit card details at Door2Tour.com.
4. Door2Tour.com may disclose your data to certain permitted third parties (including the Tour Operators), such as members of the Door2Tour.com group, Door2Tour.com’s own professional advisers who are bound by confidentiality codes, and when Door2Tour.com is legally obliged to disclose your data.
5. By subscribing to the Door2Tour.com e-newsletter you consent to receive this from Door2Tour.com by email as well as details of other special offers from Door2Tour.com that Door2Tour.com thinks may be of interest to you. Door2Tour.com will never subscribe you to receive marketing from any third-party.
6. By submitting to Door2Tour.com your holiday feedback form you consent for Door2Tour.com to use the information supplied to Door2Tour.com in customer testimonials, as well as any other media that you have chosen to supply by you, as described further in our Terms of Use. Where this is the case, your personal details such as address and contact details will not be displayed. Door2Tour.com retains the right not to feature specific feedback or comments on the Website.
7. In order to complete your booking, Door2Tour.com will also need to collect information about you, and others included in your group, to pass to Tour Operators for the purposes of confirming your booking. This applies to any sensitive information that you give to us such as information relating to disabilities, dietary requirements and/or religious beliefs. This may involve the transfer of information outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”) and by providing Door2Tour.com with this information you provide your consent (and the consent of those included in your group) to transfer such information out of the EEA.
8. You have the right to ask Door2Tour.com not to process your personal data for marketing purposes. You also have the right to access information held about you by Door2Tour.com. Your right to access can be exercised in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation, Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016., as amended from time to time.

By disclosing your personal information via the Website, over the telephone or via email you consent to the collection, storage and processing of your personal information by Door2Tour.com in the manner set out in this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use. Some information and emails sent to Door2Tour.com may be used as testimonials but no email address or contact details will be displayed.

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
For any passengers booked to travel the Tour Operator that is running the tour is the Data Controller for your personal information, Door2Tour.com are processing your personal information on behalf of the Tour Operator. Details of the Tour Operators that Door2Tour.com work with can be found on our Tour Operators page. If you have booked a tour and wish to exercise your GDPR rights please contact directly the Tour Operator that you are booked to travel with.
If you have not booked to travel then Door2Tour.com are responsible for the safe-handling of your personal information and this data will not be shared with any third-party (other than as detailed in Clause 4 above).

Door2Tour.com will not request any personal information that is not required in order to fulfil your tour booking. Any personal information retained by Door2Tour.com is stored securely and is only accessible to those employed by Door2Tour.com.
Door2Tour.com will not retain any personal information for a period longer than three years after you have travelled on a tour booked through Door2Tour.com
Change/Modify Details
If you change your contact details, please send an email with your new details to askmore@door2tour.com. If you need to modify or change your personal details after you have made a purchase with a Tour Operator via Website, please also notify the Tour Operator running the Tour as soon as possible.
